Slow Cooker Chicken Philly Cheese Steaks
A healthier but just as delicious alternate to the traditional philly cheese steak we all know and love
There is a deli in our home town at the which my Mom would exclusively eat at if the choice was always hers. Could a deli really be that good? The answer is, YES. This place is called Village Deli out of Wake Forest, NC. It consistently puts out solid sandwiches, soups, desserts, etc., of which you cannot get tired.
The first time I had a chicken philly cheese steak was at none other but Village Deli. When I now return to Village Deli, I nearly almost order the same sandwich. I love philly cheese steaks, but they sit heavy with me after having ate one. On the other hand, the chicken philly cheese steak is filling but sits lighter.
This recipe is ridiculously easy as well. Just throw all the ingredients into the slow cooker, let it cook on low for 7-8 hours and shred and enjoy after that!
