What is a Traditional Churro?

Traditional churros are made by piping ropes of choux pastry and frying them. The fried pastry is tossed in cinnamon sugar when it’s fresh out of the hot oil, and it’s served warm. They are unbelievably delicious, which is why they are incredibly popular. You can often find churros being served out of food trucks, at Mexican restaurants, in popular theme parks, and at fairs.

How do You Make the Perfect Bundt Cake?

The key to making any good cake is to use high quality ingredients that are all brought to room temperature before any mixing occurs.

This is especially important when it comes to making bundt cakes. Most bundt cake recipes have pound cake origins, which means they are fundamentally much denser than other cakes. And if you have a dense cake, then you must have a tender and moist crumb to balance out the texture.

This is achieved by bringing any cold ingredients to room temperature and also by not over-mixing the cake batter. Over-mixing cake batter is more likely to happen when you don’t separate the wet ingredients from the dry ingredients in the mixing process.

The eggs, in particular, take a little extra mixing to combine the yolk and the white completely. So if you wait to start mixing until after the flour has been added to the wet ingredients, you’ll find yourself over-mixing the batter just to get those darned eggs thoroughly incorporated.

Fortunately, the solution is simple enough: take care of mixing the eggs into the butter and sugar mixture before adding the flour. Once the flour is added, all that remains to do is gently mix just until the batter is formed.
