Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can I make this trifle in advance? Yes! This trifle is best when made a few hours ahead or even the night before, allowing the flavors to meld together.
2. Can I use store-bought whipped cream? Absolutely. While homemade whipped cream adds a fresh touch, store-bought whipped topping works just as well for convenience. We love Cool Whip around here!
3. What can I use if I don’t have a trifle dish? You can use a large glass bowl, individual serving glasses, or even a rectangular baking dish to assemble the layers.
4. Can I freeze leftovers? It’s not recommended to freeze this dessert as the whipped cream and pudding layers may separate upon thawing.
5. How do I store leftovers? Cover the trifle tightly with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
