This Dark Chocolate Cherry Smoothie Bowl is by far my favorite way to start the day! Made with sweet dark cherries, dark chocolate, coconut, and granola.

 

Main Ingredients Needed for Dark Chocolate Cherry Smoothie Bowl

  • frozen cherries
  • milk of choice
  • chocolate protein powder
  • collagen powder
  • dark chocolate cocoa powder
  • toppings like: granola, coconut, dark chocolate chips, etc.

How to Make this Recipe

  1.  Blend together: the frozen cherries, milk, protein powder, collagen powder, cocoa powder, and a few cubes of ice. 
  2. Pour the smoothie into a bowl. Top with granola (try our family’s favorite recipe for chewy peanut butter granola!), shredded coconut, dark chocolate chips, and some melted Nutella.

Collagen Powder

This smoothie bowl is the first time I’ve experimented with using collagen powder and I swear it makes the CREAMIEST smoothies! I like using Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides (unflavored) that I buy at Target. It’s great for hair, skin, nails, and your joints. PLUS it has 18g of protein per serving! Win-win.

This Dark Chocolate Cherry Smoothie Bowl is by far my favorite way to start the day! Made with sweet dark cherries, dark chocolate, coconut, and granola.

Ingredients:

  • Approximately 1 and 1/2 cups of frozen dark sweet cherries, pitted
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 1 scoop collagen peptides
  • 2 tbsp Hershey’s Special Dark Chocolate cocoa powder
  • 3-4 ice cubes
  • Toppings of choice

Instructions:

How to cook Dark Chocolate Cherry Smoothie Bowl

  1. Blend everything together until smooth.
  2. Transfer smoothie to a bowl and add toppings, such as: granola, shredded coconut, chocolate chips, etc. (See post for additional suggestions)
